September 10th and 11th, 2001--A Recollection
At sunset on September 10th, the great oceanliner, Norway, (originally The France), came to a halt over the site of the Titanic for a brief memorial service.

It was the final scheduled crossing of the Norway and its veteran captain wanted to remember the Titanic with reverence. Later that evening I chatted with him for a minute to express my appreciation for his actions and he told me he wanted to honor the crew members, many of whom sacrificied their lives to help save passenger
