City actions under Interim City Manager and Mayor underway

Nancy Woodley Nominated for Interim City Manager
I have a high regard for Nancy Woodley. She is intelligent, experienced and has the ability to choose good staff. I think she will do an excellent job as Interim Manager.
I also appreciate that Mary Holcombe, Assistant City Manager has agreed to stay on in her position. Mary did not wish to be considered for the interim position.

After a successful first year of jazz in Venice, thanks to a grant from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice, the 2008 event has been greatly expanded.
